That’s right. I said it, and the research proves it.
Coconut oil destroys the bacteria that causes tooth decay. On top of that, it is antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antifungal.
There’s a study out of Ireland that shows just how effective it is at attacking Streptococcus mutans (which is an acid-producing bacterium that is a major cause of tooth decay.)
Coconut oil also attacks Candida albicans which causes thrush and other health issues.
The best part about brushing with coconut oil is you don’t have to worry about fluoride or any other toxins that many toothpastes contain. It’s also fairly cheap and one container should last you awhile. Stay tuned, as I will be posting a recipe for home-made toothpaste later this week.
